Bitter Start
To my best friend H,
Finally, March has begun with the last cold snap in the Spring. As you mayknow I still don't like March. I don't think it is a part ofSpring. How's the weather in Toronto? How have you been these days?It seems like only a dream when I wentthere to meet you in the evening on ofNiagra Falls together. I still remember your small and cozy apartment and two loving girls. You know what? I got a phone call from Dr.Min this afternoon. He said that our 20th graduation anniversary willbe held next June. I hope that wecan meet face-to-face at that time.Do you remember when wewere bothdeciding to enter a fellowship andquit the stable job? Some said that it would be achallenge and some said itsoundedabsurd. After all I’d finished lastMarchand youwill alsogo through withitin May. Do you rememberwhen I said it would bethe "Exodus" from our complex situations? Now I'd like to say that your coming will be the "Return of the Challenger!"Have you heard about Dr. Kang's move to Pakistan? He sent me messages last week through Facebook.Mycurrent troubles and headachesarenothing compared to his hardship.
Don't be surprised! My first day atthe new hospital was terrible. I got into a traffic accident on my way to the hospital in the morning. Luckily, I did not get hurt, except for some minorback sprain. To be honest, I was not able to feel the pain because I was a bit nervous about the new workplace. Can you imagine what it was like? My morning schedule was completely mixed up. My car trunk was crashed. I got it back last evening from the body shop. It happened at the main intersection near my new hospital. While was waiting forthe traffic signal to change, all of a sudden a loudbumping sound and vibrationsshooked me. It tookme sometime to realize that I got into an accident. An SUVsmashed my bumper and the trunk of my car from behind. I had to drive a renta car for 3 days.
Those tree daysfelt like thirty days to me. I feel dizzy just at the thought of the incident. I am very thankfulthat I did not get injured severely. Dr.Kang said that God was protecting me...A weather forecaster said tomorrow would be another chilly morning. Take care! From your friendly rival owl.
