J told me that she used to play basketball and volleyballduring her school days, and she prefers participating in sports rather than watching them on TV; I like her active attitude. However, for me, sports activities havebeen my Achillesheel, eversinceI was a kid: Ineverreceived medals forrunning in races. I always gotlow grades in physical education because I was afraid of the ball coming at me, that I was supposed tocatch. Althoughthis fearhas been weakened after learninghow todeal withit from my husband,I still don'tlikesports that require me to handle a ball. So, whenever Imet a person who was skillful at it, I envy and even admire him/her. To be honest, I am not good at any kind of sports needing speed. Together with taking a walk and jogging, yoga is my favorite. I've been doing it for 5 years now, except for last 15 months. I skipped it last year because of my hectic schedule. The first thing that I did after transferring into the current hospital that I work at was discoverthe yoga center. Ifound out about it last month and I joined it. I think yoga has two magical effectson our body.. One is well known meditation and the other is stretchingmuscles and joints thoseare usually restduring ordinary lifestyle. In yoga class, I just followa teacher's instruction and I don't have to think deeply. It’s like a comfort food to my soul. By just focusing on the movement of my body, I can recover my composure back from the emotional rollercoaster.
