Lingering

I wrote this journal last Sunday evening.

Finally, I was able to upload many pictures and organize presents today. Whenever I get backfrom travellinf, Isuffer from a bit of lingering senses for a short while.Last week'sjourneyto Europewas not an exception. It was also a turning pointin my career. I arrivedhome last Wednesday evening andthen I started my new job the next morning.I had areally hectictwoconsecutive days at my new workplace. It was even morecomplicated -- Iperformed ultrasoundsfor aroundtwenty-four patients inthis unbelievablytense situation without getting over the jet lag.I know very well thatI am far frombeing a person who can adapt quickly. It always takes mesome timeto adjust a new system.

Anyways,I am very thankfulthat I had thechance to visitthree wonderful cities: Vienna in Austria, Budapest in Hungary, and Istanbul in Turkey. Istanbul was my favorite of those three. It was an unbelievably beautiful city. The sizzling hot weather did not stop me from enjoying the whole trip; I'd like to visit there again some day with my three boys. Whenever I visit or see wonderful scenery, I always think of my loved ones -- When Isaw the beautiful sea in Istanbul, the shore of Bosporus,I was thinking of my husband and two sons.Sometimes, I found myself forgetting that Iwas traveling and Iwas away from my job. Just when I begin to used to anew atmosphere, the time has comethat I have to return. Traveling seems like a daydreamin our lives, but it is addictive.
