Bakewell Tart with Cream Cheese

Jamie Oliver said,' Bakewell tart is a classic English tea cake which, if made with a bit of love and some quality jam '

I twisted this recipe with cream cheese, banana and some kinds of nuts in my fridge.

Ingredients for the crust pastry

1 teaspoon vanilla flavor

5 Tablespoons butter

1/2 Cup powdered sugar

1 cup Whole wheat flour and 1 cup rice flour

2 egg yolks

2 tablespoons cold milk

For The Frangipane ( Filling )

Some almonds, cashew nuts, redbean pastes,sunflower seeds, peanuts...

3 Tablespoons sugar

2 free-range eggs

1 Tablespoon Mayple syrup instead of jam

1/2 cup cream cheese instead of butter

1 peeled off banana

Cream together and whisk all ingredients by hands

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place in the fridge to rest for an hour.


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and bake until light brown for 15 minutes.



To make the fangipane, mix and whisk all ingredients.





Pour the frangipane mixture on top.



Preheat the oven to 170 degrees celsius.

Bake the tart for about 40 minutes.

This recipe is pretty easy and can bea fantastic dessert .

You can change the filling ingredients whatever you want to try .....
